The Place is Buzzing

Well a dawn wakening and the sun is starting to appear behind the olive groves at the gite. I embark on a slight climb up the hill at the back to get a prime view, resplendent in my tartan jammies. It was well worth the climb!
As usual I have my restless night sleep as it is too dark and too remote and I concern for my safety, despite probably being in an area with zero crime. Have attached a picture of Kiera in her special place at the gite and also a view at dawn over the gite from the olive groves.
The sound of cockerels has been replaced by the soothing buzz of bees, unless you are Kiera, as they gorge on the laburnum, lavender and other blooms.
Had the barbie last night whilst watching the Liverpool game, we also recorded and watched the Grand National and came out slightly up with State of Play each way, needless to say the related Euro Trek at 100/1 did not finish, hope our Euro Trek gets further.
Off to the beach today at Collioure which is an upmarket seaside resort with great views and then we will head into the Pyrenees, when they have thrown us out of Collioure. We had considered Andorra, but is small line on map, but mountains in between and would take circa 4 hours. Not sure when we will leave as France shuts down on a Sunday and shutters stay closed most of the day.
Cheers for now.

  1. Aw Boooooooo!
I also had State of Play but I had it down to win. Despite betting on four horses, Fiona the Dreadful, comes out with nothing. Tragic. Loving the blog, good fun :)

  2. Everything sounds great. Kiera looks great on the log by the stream. Not an animal insight! Its good that the temp has gone up and you can get some sunshine with heat. Give ou regards to all when you get to Barcelona. When do you arrive and plan to visit O'Flahertys Bar. I will call Margaret and alert Moira That she could have some visitors!
